In 2009 I visited Pearl Harbor with my sister, Heather. That day we were fortunate enough to meet a couple of December 7 vets. Next to me is Sterling Cale. He was with the U.S. Army and was in charge of the burial party removing bodies from the Arizona. Next to Heather is Al Rodrigues. He was with the U.S. Navy and was on duty the morning of the attack, shooting at planes as they passed overhead.
