2017 Pacific Northwest Summer – Part Two

The documentary of our summer adventures in the Pacific Northwest is underway. The first trip was to Astoria in May. Over Father’s Day weekend in mid-June we took a quick drive to the Aurora Airport where the Collings Foundation brought planes from its World War II collection. I’ve always wanted to see a B-17 Flying Fortress up close. We got to do that and also see a B-24 Liberator, B-25 Mitchell and P-51 Mustang. Aviation heaven!

For fun I went with an entirely different art and style direction on this video, using 1940s newsreels as inspiration — with a touch of modernization:
