In a word? Everything! An eventful spring and summer led to less writing over the past few months. The CliffsNotes version:

• We took our first major family vacation in years to Hawaii.
• We decided to move.
• We sold our house and bought a new home — in a new city.
• I worked feverishly on a long-term project that is due in a few days.
