I’ve been absent from this blog for a very long time. I’m midway through stories about the Fish Tacos soccer team and my radio days in Newport, Oregon. I’ll get back to those eventually.
A lot has changed in two years. My wife and I had our first child — a daughter — in 2014. I’m still a radio broadcaster, but I also dabble in video now. That’s something I haven’t done regularly since my college days. While the photography is largely the same (high definition notwithstanding), the editing has changed drastically since the 1990s. I don’t miss 20th century linear video editing at all!
I’ve done a few small projects, and this is my current favorite. I even purchased a music license to make it a little more special. Our daughter, Aria, is only a few months younger than my brother-in-law’s daughter, Claire. The girls live about 200 miles away from each other, so getting together is a big deal. Their last meeting was in May, and I’d say they had a pretty good time together:
I’m excited about posting my best video projects here. Expect more to come!
